2019 Toledo Municipal GENERAL ELECTION BALLOT - November 5, 2019

In Toledo, by law, the Municipal Elections are Non-Partisan, meaning no Party Affiliation is listed on the ballot, and each candidate is technically Non-Partisan. However, it is either usually widely known or self-admitted as to with which Party a candidate may be affiliated.

Below is a list of the issues, and the candidates, and a very short bio of each, for the November 5th GENERAL ELECTIONS.

ISSUES ON THE BALLOT

ISSUE 8 - SENIOR CITIZENS

Lucas County - Renewal and Increase. 0.60 Mills Renewal + 0.15 Mills Increase = Total 0.75 Mills.
For the purpose of providing and maintaining senior citizens services or facilities and programs for five years.

CANDIDATES ON THE BALLOT

TOLEDO CITY COUNCILMEMBER

Toledo City Council consists of twelve Councilmembers - six Councilmembers At-Large serving the whole city, and six District Councilmembers serving each of the six Council Districts of Toledo.
Every other two years, or every other odd-numbered year, each group of six Council seats are up for re-election. This year, the six District Councilmember seats are up for election. The next election for At-Large Councilmembers and Toledo Mayor will be in 2021.

THE WINNERS OF THESE RACES ADVANCED TO THE GENERAL ELECTION ABOVE

Toledo City Council consists of twelve Councilmembers - six Councilmembers At-Large serving the whole city, and six District Councilmembers serving each of the six Council Districts of Toledo.
Every other two years, or every other odd-numbered year, each group of six Council seats are up for re-election. This year, the six District Councilmember seats are up for election. The next election for At-Large Councilmembers and Toledo Mayor will be in 2021.
Toledo holds Municipal Primaries in September of odd-numbered years for City Council and Mayor. The purpose of the Primary Election is to narrow a field of three or more candidates down to two candidates to face off in the Municipal General Elections in November of each odd-numbered year.
This year, five of the six Council Districts have a Primary race.
